MWC (Mobile World Congress) is a global event series run by GSMA, showcasing the biggest and best in technology. I designed a range of creatives for MWC Barcelona in both 2021 and 2022, supporting the event’s hybrid format. My work spanned social media graphics, event signage, digital ads, and presentation materials, all of which needed to stay consistent with the MWC brand while still standing out in a competitive tech landscape. The challenge was creating assets flexible enough to work across both online and in-person touch points from large-scale event stands to mobile-first digital campaigns.
In 2021, the event attracted around 35,000 attendees overall (10,000 in person, 25,000 online), while in 2022 it grew to around 55,000 (40,000 in person and 15,000 online). Designing for an event of this scale gave me valuable experience in building cohesive design systems that could adapt seamlessly across physical and digital environments, ensuring a unified and engaging experience for audiences worldwide.
